The PhonoPod®> RCA sockets offer unlike most of their competitors, even those marketed as high-end significantly increased conductivity.
The vast majority of the bases are made from nickel, golden brass or bronze / phosphorus alloy with a conductivity typically less than 28% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard).
By way of comparison, the high purity copper used in the vast majority of interconnecting cables has a conductivity rating of 100% IACS. Due to this low conductivity and the use of three disparate metals, the majority of standard RCAs, even expensive tend to decrease the performance of the components to which they connect.
The ETI approach is radically different, the contact elements are machined in high purity Copper Telurium (more than 90% IACS) so as to ensure maximum conductivity (this allowing a gain of up to 320%).
