In 1985, WBT designed the first machined connector in one piece with a progressive clamping device.

Since then, the machining technique has been refined, the eight outer contact lamellae are machined on high precision machines using diamond bits.
This patented design has the value of a symbol on the market.
WBT is today synonymous with perfection in the field of audio connection and its reputation is more to do.
In 2003, NextGen technology was introduced by pushing the conduction quality of WBT connectors even further.
Today, this principle extends to the entire range.

The terminal is connected to the cable by crimping.
The two leather-stamped camps on each lug are equipped with Torx screws, which provides a reliable high strength connection.

These forks are therefore fully insulated in accordance with EN 60065 and IEC65 standards.
It is designed for the use of crimped contacts using two Torx screws and accepts cables up to 10 mm² of cross-section.
Finally it is available in two sizes; 6 mm (WBT-0660) or 8 mm (WBT-0680) and two metals; Pure copper coated with a protective layer of Gold24 carats or silver plated rhodium.
