Audiophonics PSU HP-S4



Audiophonics power supply module PSU S4-HP has been designed to provide clean power for an amplifier or any continuous audio circuit.

This version has a 6.5mm pre-drilled aluminum plate to improve heat-dissipation capacity and allow the module to deliver greater power. Those pre-drilled holes make it easier to mount the module into a housing or a heatsink.

It is equipped with a potentiometer and a jumper to adjust the voltage from 5 to 24V from an AC voltage source whose value is between 5 and 20V AC respectively.

Rigorous design and quality components make the PSU S4 HP an excellent choice to power a digital amplifier or any other Low Voltage High Fidelity devices such as DAC, headphone amplifiers for enhanced audio performance. For this purpose, the module uses 2x 1N5408 and 4 x 2scz2545 fast switching diodes.

The voltage regulator is a Micrel 29752, a popular component for critical systems due to its extremely low dropout.

This power supply has an impressive capacity for filtering with no less than 10 Nichicon electrolytic capacitors 4700µF 35V (for a total of 47000μF available for filtering). A final output capacitor provides further enhancement for the PSU overall accuracy.

très bonne alimentation
elle vient remplacer trois modules à base de LT 1084 avec un condo 4700 µf qui alimentait deux PC dédiés (serveur Roon et lecteur Roon sous fédora ccrma avec 35 et 10 W de tpd)

Pour à peine plus chère, la différence est bluffante.
Les basses sont plus tendues, les timbres et la dynamique sont à l'avenant, les détails ressortent mieux.
Meilleur silence de fond.
C'est clair que l'alimentation est la clef de la qualité audio.

Qualité remarquable
Je l'utilise pour alimenter en 24V un ampli casque à lampes avec en amont une module SPMS calé sur 25.5V. Cela donne d'excellent résultats en terme de qualité sonore. Très satisfait.

alimentation linéaire
j'utilise cette alimentation pour alimenter un l streamer de réseau de haut performance (3DLAB.nanoplayer).en remplacement de l'alim d'origine (un vulgaire boitier 220v/9v, polluant à fond..!.
le résultat est saisissant , lors d'une écoute "audiophile". (j'ai une installation avec un ampli a tube 845, et des baffles en supravox, de conception maison.) . SUPER RESULTAT. bravo.

AUDIOPHONICS PSU S4-HP
Utilisée pour alimenter une carte mère sous Daphile (CPU de 10w de TDP).
Dimensionner impérativement le radiateur en fonction de la consommation, stabilité parfaite du voltage de sortie. A l'écoute, très supérieure aux cartes avec régulateur LT1083, différence de prix importante mais justifiée.

So far this has proved be excellent, voltage once set is rock solid, although the load i have on it is well below its rating (maximum of 2amps) and at that it runs cool.

Fairly robust it has with stood a dead short on the output due to me using a faulty low voltage power socket. In dead short conditions the unit did get hot and then shut down, after removing the the short and letting it cool down it powered back up and is sound.

Pair with a good transformer and you have an excellent linear power supply, recommended.
