Amplifier 2x120W @ 4 Ohm / Volume Control / MOSFET IRFP240 & IRFP9240
This integrated amplifier is inspired by PASS circuits and operates two high power MOSFET IRFP240 / IRFP9240. Its power stage offers massive power and detailed sound reproduction. Low frequencies are deep and emphasize the soundstage. Ideal for bringing thick and precise sound to a large room.
The design of the input stage involves only discrete components. The signal goes symmetrically through a structure based on pairs of complementary transistors.
It is designed from paired transistors and arranged in a symmetrical structure. The models used are A42 and A92 transistors, capable of withstanding high voltages before distorting the sound.
This configuration limits any bias current before the power stage Class AB, which significantly limit the distortion.
The device is equipped with an OMRON relay (switch delay) which ensures effective protection against unwanted noise (crunches and thumps) during power on and power off.
There is also a UPC1237 protection (protection amplifying stage & loudspeakers on each channel with overload detection) / a DC protection and a rectifier bridge at very low resistance.
To match the specifications of the input stages and amplifier, this amplifier has a linear regulated power supply with a very effective design. This will directly affect the overall sound precision of the amplifier.
This power supply is operating with a diode bridge 50A (Japan Sanken) selected for its very low internal resistance.
50V capacitors 10000uF complement the power stage.
The power stage operates through a 300VA toroidal transformer with impressive size.
The latter is maintained on the casing by an anti-vibration stabilizer seal.
In order to prevent electromagnetic interference and noise that may affect the signal quality, the transformer is insulated from the rest of the circuit by the internal radiator.

The AB class power amplifying stage uses complementary transistors C5171 and A1930.
All elements of the power stage arevented and mounted on a large radiator to dissipate heat efficiently and to gain power without degrading the sound / prematurely wear the equipment.
