The Ian Canada UcPure is a supercapacitor power supply module. It uses a set of supercapacitors with a minimum capacity of 3000F to achieve a very high level of performance. Being a totally passive power supply, the module does not generate any feedback and does not integrate any active component. In pure output mode, only the pre-charged supercapacitor pack is applied to the load. It is also capable of delivering up to 1000A of dynamic current with an internal ESR less than 0.58mΩ (continuous output mode).

All in all, the UcPure module is an excellent low-noise, ultra-high dynamic range power supply, ideal for powering sensitive audio devices such as low jitter clocks, DACs or FIFO buffers.

  • The precharge current can be set to 3A (default) or 1.5A to accommodate different power supplies.
  • Built-in protection system to prevent the supercapacitor from depleting and the output voltage from dropping.
  • Dynamic output current: up to 1000A (decided by the supercapacitors).
  • Output ESR: < 0.58mΩ (3.3V configurations, decided by supercapacitors).
  • Designed for continuous, uninterrupted operation.
