High Fidelity Audio circuit

Although very compact, the Shanling UA 2 embeds a powerful audio circuit built around an ESS ES9038Q2M chip, a reference component for High Fidelity applications incorporating digital to analog conversion capabilities.

On the DAC side, the UA2 is capable of playing high resolution audio files up to 768kHz / 32bit and even native DSD up to DSD512.

The output stage is built around an RT6838 chip capable of developing a power up to 125mW under 32 Ohm with a minimal noise level, which represents an incomparable performance gain in comparison with the traditional audio outputs of general public portable multimedia devices.

USB-A adapter

The UA2 portable headphone converter and headphone amplifier from Shanling comes with a USB-C female to USB-A male adapter. The latter will be particularly useful for using all the qualities and audio capabilities of the UA 2 with a laptop or even a PC tower without a satisfactory sound card (relying only on the limited audio capabilities of the motherboard).

Completely optimized for mobile use, the circuit is designed to maximize the power available for the amplified output while limiting the load on the battery of the source device. This is a suitable solution for extended listening sessions, even on devices with limited battery.
