A high-end digital audio player ...

This evolution of our RaspDAC is now much faster thanks to the implementation of Raspberry Pi 3 B+, has a hole for an infrared receiver, and a micro SD card reader offset, when it was difficult to access to the first version.

OptAUDIOPHONICS integrates the famous DAC I-Sabre V4 24 / 192Khz equipped with a TCXO precision clock as well as a circuit of masses reviewed and corrected, and a low noise regulation LDO capacitors OS Con, this DAC I-Sabre V4 is the heart of the RaspDAC.

OfPlus, its advanced ATX power management with different possible shutdown modes offer a high level of ease of use.

It has all the inputs / outputs required for its connection, its(DC Jack 5.5 / 2.1mm), an HDMI port, a micro SD card port and an OLED display.

RaspDAC

Le software

Announcing itself as a free system, RaspDAC is delivered with without operating system installed . You are free to choose and install the one that best suits your needs. Some features require the installation of custom scripts to work if you do not choose a pre-installed image :

  • The power management functions use a Python script to install (or manual plugin available in Volumio).
  • The OLED screen works with a dedicated script that only works under Volumio and LMS (DietPi).
  • IR reception requires the installation of LIRC, the power management of its dedicated script.
  • The hardware volume requires the use of the dedicated driver (native in DietPi, manual plugin in Volumio).
Volumio

Currently we recommend using Volumio which offers both very good audio performance but also a simple, intuitive and above all accessible interface from any device connected via a web interface.

Volumio allows you to read from a NAS on the network, from a UPnP source or from a local storage such as a hard disk or USB key. It also provides access to web radios and has a Spotify plugin. It also manages the DLNA protocol allowing to control the player from an application like Bubble UPnP, which itself is able to read many streams and has a Qobuz plugin. The AirPlay is also managed.

Volumio

To make it a ready-to-use product and to be able to use the product as soon as it is received, we propose an SD card including a pre-configured Volumio image with the plugins necessary for the functions present on the RaspDAC. We strongly recommend it to beginners. Indeed, the installation and configuration of this type of solution requires a good knowledge of Linux and the hardware used.

Buy Volumio SD Card

Good product. Excellent service
Very happy with my RaspDac. It has a nice warm sound.
The DIY-kit is very easy to assemble (30 minutes) using the instruction video. I am currently using Volumio software. Works very intuitively with their setup 'hotspot' and model driven configuration pages. "easypeezie"

I was unlucky to have the power-supply mal-functioning after 2 days. Just bad luck. Audiophonics immediately took action and sent me a new power-supply. This is excellent service!
Thank you very much!

Mon premier lecteur réseau
Bonjour

Very nice dac
The kit is complete and easy to assemble, for this reason there are no instructions.
The audio quality is very good for the price.
I rewrote the python driver for the 16x2 LCD, link for download:
