Very nice DIY budget chassis with slim profile
This galaxy GX348, is very well designed and finished product.
When assembled, it fits to perfection, with no glitches. Aluminum parts are finished very well. Side could be flipped just for desing variations, and could be used as heatsinks. Front and back plates are well brushed and anodized, and easily to drill/mill.
This is my second GX chassis I purchased - for an AKM 4499 DAC project - and I am very content of both (first hosts a full valve phono stage).
Only one problem: the last chassis was not well packed ( weak protection on the sides ), and 2 corners of the bottom plate were slightly bent at transport :((
Hope next time audiophonics will be more careful when dispatching these GX chassis, to properly protect them inside the box !
That's why I will give 4 * only rating.
