Discount any Youtube reviews denigrating this unit's sound as 'opaque". Yes, it is ever so slightly less defined then, say, an ESS solid state DAC, but that 's the point And to top it off the price, compared to much of it's competition within the crazy audiophile world is almost free.

I'm not a fan of China but......the audio industry should get a wake-up call from this DAC.

at 380 eur? I don't think I've heard anything that beats it :))))

natural, open, dynamic, depth and classic tube voices/midrange, 2 bass bowls, 1/channel.

loses the competition a little on treble and separation, but, in my opinion, for this money, very hard to find a similar package in terms of sound and build quality.

congrats FIIO for the design (another proof that "old" technologies are "the sh*t") :)

p.s.: I had it in trial from a friend that decided to keep it. I compared it vs a NewOnTech DAC07SE so....yeah:)
