Flex HT the audiophile nirvana!
I bought it on December 18, 2024. It arrived in Hungary very quickly. I replaced a Lexicon MV-5 processor. The bass is much more restrained, not so fluid and expansive. The active switching also works very well in it, I use LW-R 24db/octave filters. The crossover frequencies are 100Hz/4KHz. I don't use Parametric EQ for now, maybe when I buy the Umik-1 measurement microphone. It would be nice to buy a Dirac live license for it, but for now it's very expensive for me, almost the price of the device. There are power stages for each speaker, for each speaker, I use these now, all class D: AUDIOPHONICS MPA-S125NC ; Douk Audio TPA3116 ; Wondom TPA3255. I'm going to order these two power amps from Audiophonics now: O-NOORUS D1 Class D Amplifier TPA3255 PFFB. My dream is to get one of these power amps: AUDIOPHONICS HPA-H250NC Power Amplifier 6 Channels NCore NC252MP. This MiniDSP Flex is a real big gun, a game changer, the DAC in it is also very good, this is also confirmed very well by the Audio Science Review. I recommend it to everyone who would like to build a truly audiophile system with active switching. I use 2x3 way speakers with it, each in pairs: Dayton Audio PT2C-8 Planar Tweeter ; Tang Band_W5-2143 Midrange; SICA 12 PF 3 Sub. The fronts are open baffle, and the subs are closed!
