Worked without problems right from the start. The need for unsoldering and re-soldering the 0R SMD "resistor" for using wih a dual power-supply is unconvenient, much better here would be a jumper with two positions.
Sound wise (until now I only used the optical in) already great, really met my expectations. Output stage with elco's in signal path leaves room for individual improvements.

Fantastic DAC!
Tried this ES9038Q2M for testing. For the relatively small price paid for this board, you get a very good DAC. Tested with a single rail 15V supply and connected Raspberry Pi 3B+ (over I2S) with separate 5V SM supply. Using piCorePlayer 4.1 (I-Sabre-ES9023 DAC, native/DoP DSD Squeezelite binary, card control: 384k) the sound is amazingly clear and distinct and the bass is well-balanced. You can pin-point the instruments in a symphony orchestra. Was able to play DSD128 files (DoP) without any problems.
The board comes with a 5532D opamp. Looking forward to testing the board with a Muses opamp and a dual rail 15V linear PSU.
