A positive addition to my system
I am listening music by connecting a laptop to a USB Dac through a good but lengthy (5m) USB interconnect cable. The connection is asychronous, so in theory, adding a recloaker shouldn't make any difference.

The problem I was facing, was the appearance of a very noisy ground loop; I could only listen to music when the laptop was disconnected from its power supply and was relying only on its internal battery.

I solved that problem with the help of the SMSL gadget and a toshlink interconnect. As for the sound, I can discern a subtle but noticable improvement. Not a night and day difference, but the sound appears "fresher" and with a somehow larger soundstage. If the SMSL could be combined with an external power supply, the sound could be even better - but it only gets powered by the USB interconnect. In that price point, I believe that the company should provide the first option.

That said, the SMSL has been a positive addition to my system. Reclockers do work, even in a subtle way. Does it worth the cost? This is subjective. Not every system needs one, but when it's needed, I believe that the SMSL PO100 PRO won't dissapoint.

Improving sound quality
Huge improvement in sound quality: detail, separation, spacing. The price/performance ratio is amazing.

Phantastic clearly sound DoP 64 over optical output PO100 to RAWMDA1 DAC much better than simply USB conversion. WIthout noise and without any ground loops. Thanks AUdiophonics and S.M.S.L.

Petit boîtier parfait ?
Ça y ressemble !!
Connecté au Mac Mini en USB il a été immédiatement reconnu par Audirvana, décode tous les formats (Mqa compris) et il est relié à mon Dac en Spdif.
Il est très plat ce qui m’a permis de le glisser sous mon Dac.
Envoi rapide et sécurisé.

Sort un flux digital de bien meilleure qualité que la sortie optique intégrée à mon Macbook 2015 que je croyais pourtant déjà excellente.

Ich verwende den USB-Adapter so, wie er bei cheap-audio-men empfohlen wurde. Er kommt zwischen dem WIIM ultra und einem DAC (smsl d400 ex) zum Einsatz. Er erwirkt ein unglaublichen Gewinn.

Not noticeable SQ improvement on my laptop
The device didn't bring any noticeable difference in terms of sound quality in my existing laptop configuration. Sound quality using direct USB cable to DAC and using USB over SMSL PO100 to DAC gave almost the same SQ results.
Rather save the money and by something like Wiim Pro or Wiim Pro Plus for audio streaming purposes.

Great device!

Simple et éfficace
Acheté en remplacement d’une carte son Sound blaster Z Se qui me posait problème. L’appareil est plug and play et ne pose aucune difficulté (bien paramétrer l’échantillonnage de sortie voulu via Windows). J’ai la sensation (peut être fausse) d’avoir plus de détails qu’avec la sortie optique de ma carte son. Cette interface fait ce qu’on lui demande pour un tarif particulièrement contenu donc c’est parfait.

Petit objet très efficace : j'ai vraiment gagné en clarté du son, moins de dureté, un rendu plus analogique. De mes 4 connexions USB et/ou Xmos, c'est la meilleure. En plus il fonctionne sans alimentation et peut donc être nomade : super bon avec mon téléphone. A 75 € il ne faut surtout pas s'en priver.

Le couteau suisse SMSL !
Une connectique incroyable sur un si petit boîtier. Mais le plus surprenant est le coup de jeune qu'il donne à la lecture des fichiers audio extraits du pc vers mon convertisseur GUSTARD, via la liaison hdmi. Un must, à très petit prix !
