I chose this player to use it as a transport feeding my DAC. I like the fact that it is a very well-proven device, as its Philips mechanism has been widely tested and is very stable. In addition, the remote control is more complete than that of the higher model.
The device includes a built-in DAC for those who wish to connect it directly to their amplifier via RCA. Its sound is acceptable, although perhaps a bit too sibilant in the high frequencies, but for the price you can’t really ask for more. I recommend buying it.
