The unit I received (serial number 117XX) does not have the XMOS USB controller described in the documentation lised on this page, but instead seems to have an older version with a maximum sampling rate of 384kHz wich is not compatible with the SMSL driver posted on their page.
If you made the mistake of installing the driver provided by SMSL and your unit quit working, you can uninstall that in the Windows Device Manager.
That doesn´t matter for performance since I did indeed receive the MKII version with AK4493 DAC chip and the USB controller is fully compatible with the universal Windows USB drivers, but it has me wondering.
It works and sounds great.
Just be aware that you might not get what you are expecting.
