I replace one of them on the back of my DAC... I think when my DAC was shipped to me maybe they had pressure pushing on them because one of the barrels inside would slide in and out if you try to connect an RCA cable... so I had to replace it...
The rhodium plating makes it difficult to solder... the Sauter did not want to connect or make contact with the rhodium coding on the RCA connector...it's a little difficult to get into the small areas when trying to solder... I was ready to cry after trying many attemptswhen the solder would not connect the wire because of the rhodium plating... finally I made a connection but it was the worst time I've had soldering anything...
now I believe the company makes a little different style they have a little hose at the end of where you connect them you can feed your wire through them and twist it and it will stay in place making it easier for you to make the soldered joint.
