I have installed this tweeter in a pair of PA speakers (Skytec MAX15) that had a piezo tweeter and midrange horn and replaced them with this tweeter (intended use is the living room). The sound is now completely different, everything has vastly improved! To be able to use this tweeter with those speakers I also had to install a crossover because they had none. So I have installed the Monacor DN-1218 PAX crossover to use with this tweeter. I was at first a bit skeptical because of the "dip" you can see in the frequency response graph of the crossover. But I measured (UMIK-1 and REW) the frequency response after the upgrade and it is pretty much linear, especially in the crossover region, absolutely no "dip" and it sounds fantastic! It really allowed the 15 inch woofer to go all the way down in the lows, with remarkable clarity. The switch from piezo to silk dome was also a significant change, but I don't think I have ever heard a more accurate tweeter, I think it is more revealing than the tweeter of the Alesis M1 Active MK2! Overall the upgrade was excellent! So good in fact, that I am now considering using the MAX15 for production purposes as well. In conclusion, this tweeter is highly recommended and it works very well with the Monacor crossover (12dB LP/18dB HP at 2.5kHz), don't be fooled by the "dip" in the graph, it blends beautifully with the tweeter!
