The Shanling ET3 is a complete, powerful CD player with a modern design and excellent sound performance. Versatile, it offers full connectors and wireless connectivity, enabling it to be integrated into many audio systems, providing a high-quality source. It can even be used as a file player and NAS, thanks to a USB input for storage devices, combined with Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities.

The ET3 is an alternative to the brand's EC3, with a more focused use, centered on its CD player and digital transport functions, offering superior signal processing quality. Thanks to its numerous digital outputs, but above all its USB and I2S outputs, it is capable of transmitting high-resolution streams to an external device (DAC, amplifier...).

A particularly powerful design

The Shanling ET3 houses a high-performance dual-core Ingenic X2000 processor. This is the first chip based on XBurst2 technology, which not only enhances computing power but also enables rapid device start-up. This processor is combined with a CT7302CL upscaling chip, a Philips SAA7824 decoder and a Sanyo HD850 optical drive, delivering excellent playback performance and high-quality sound reproduction.

MQA / MQA-CD Decoder

The Shanling ET3 incorporates an MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) decoder, enabling it to read this type of file, offering sound reproduction as close as possible to the original recording. A rarer feature, it is also capable of reading and decoding the MQA-CD format.

Complete connectors and connectivity

The ET3 is equipped with a particularly complete range of digital output connectors. The rear panel features USB-A, I2S on HDMI port, AES/EBU, optical and coaxial outputs. This connectivity is complemented by wireless connectivity, with an antenna on the rear of the device ensuring stable transmission.

Wireless connectivity & Control app

The Shanling ET3 also benefits from wireless connectivity, incorporating a Bluetooth 5.0 chip supporting high-resolution aptX, aptX HD and LDAC codecs, as well as dual-band WiFi supporting DLNA and AirPlay protocols. This makes it possible to control and stream music remotely, from a smartphone for example, using the free Eddict Player mobile application.

Screen

The front of the Shanling ET3 features an attractive circular IPS display. Stylish and practical, it displays playback information, selected source and volume level in real time. What's more, if the file being played comes from a USB stick and the album cover is available, it will be displayed. The screen also provides access to all player parameters.

ET3 and Oversampling advantage ?
Has anyone taken an audio CD (16 bit /44,1 KHz) and experimented with raising the oversampling Frequency at playback over I2S outlet ? Theoretically, oversampling works as a filter and it could impact on experienced sound audio quality even if bitrate are the same. Share your experience with us here, please !

Nice sound!
Very good device. I am connecting it through Coax, Toshlink and USB to my old AudioGD DAC19MK3 and it sounds beautiful. Unfortunately I cannot test the I2S yet, but I might modify my DAC to accept it. The service and experience from audiophonics is one of the best I had, very fast shipping and very good packaging! Thank you!!

Superbe!!!
Ce drive CD est tout simplement magnifique & dans tout les sens du terme! La qualité de fabrication est très sérieuse, cela ce ressent au poids de l'appareil par rapport à sa taille....
Il est couplé en câble toslink au Bleusound Node 130 utilisé sur un ampli REGA BRIO (2017) équipé d'enceintes colonne HIGHLAND AUDIO ORAN 4305. Et très sincèrement bluffé par le rendu sonore de ce lecteur, rien à envier à mon ex ATOLL MD100!!!
La prise en n'est pas évidente surtout que le mode d'emploi est dans une langue que je pige pas (l'anglais)! Mais j'ai quand même réussi, après quelques heures de bataille à exploiter quelques fonctions: le Bluethooth franchement excellent rendu, appairage facile; AIRPLAY via Mac génial la pochette de l'album s'affiche sur l'écran!! J'adore! Bon parfois quand ont change d'album le changement de pochette peu prendre un peu de retard..... Il y la possibilité de se connecter à Tidal, pas encore essayé .... je verrais ça si je valide l'abonnement. Concernant l'application pas mal... mais certaines fonctions me paraisse pas assez aboutie, dont une réservée à la chine. Pour ce qui est du MQA pas encore l'utilité, ont verra ce que ça vaut le jour où....
Bref ce lecteur est une petite merveille!!! Il est beau, prend peu de place et procure un son splendide !!!!

Merci à AUDIOPHONICS pour l'expédition super rapide et son emballage sérieux, car le carton avait pris des coups & heureusement que SHANLING aussi n'hésite pas à mettre un double carton!!

p.s: Attention au disc cover il est en verre (épais quand même), pas besoin de vous expliquer plus..... Donc petite question à AUDIOPHONICS: Est-il possible d'en avoir de rechange???

Beau et bon
Très satisfait de cet appareil qui vient remplacer avantageusement un Micromega trio CD qui m’a lâché après près de 30 ans de bons et loyaux services.
Il est très beau, sonne très bien dès la sortie de la boîte et de mieux en mieux en quelques jours.
La fonction lecture de CD ne pose aucun problème mais j’ai trouvé le processus de lecture des fichiers externes à partir de l’entrée USB plutôt difficile à mettre en oeuvre à partir de l’application Eddict Player sur mon téléphone. Toutefois, une fois le processus compris, le résultat est très satisfaisant, équivalent à la lecture directe des CD ou par l’intermédiaire d’Audirvana.
Quant à la fonction Bluetooth (lecture des radios ou des bonnes vidéos de YouTube à partir du téléphone ou d’une tablette), sa sonorité est bluffante avec le codec LDAC.
Je suis ravi de cet achat et je remercie l’équipe d’Audiophonics pour le choix proposé et l’efficacité du traitement des commandes.

Design élégant
Le CD Transport Shanling ET3 est arrivé en quelques jours, le colis était très bien emballé et est arrivé en bon état. Le transport de CD est joli, simple et élégant avec une belle apparence.
Il me reste encore beaucoup de choses à comprendre, car la disposition des menus n'est pas intuitive, notamment la configuration du réseau WiFi a demandé pas mal d'efforts. De plus, l'ET3 sonne bien, bel achat, j'en suis très content
