Speaker Driver Exciter Full Range 3W 4 Ohm Ø13mm
The Dayton Audio DAEX13CT-4 is a 13mm diameter vibrator that can transform many surfaces into a loudspeaker. Compact, it allows integration in small objects or in restricted spaces.
A neodymium magnet is used to create a strong magnetic flux around the coil and thus provide high sensitivity. This reduces the power required to use this vibrator, without sacrificing the output level. Openings on the exciter allow cooling of the exciter and therefore a higher power handling.
To ensure a high transfer of acoustic energy between the transducer and the surface on which it is placed, a 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive pad is applied. This makes mounting very simple and quick.
The frequency response of a vibrator is dependent on the surface on which it is placed. Thin and small materials will tend to provide a higher output level and create a better midrange / treble response. Wider and thicker materials (with multiple vibrators) will allow for a lower sound volume but a wider frequency response.
