When you are driving an endpoint and all recommended dongels, etc, recommended for cleaning up the USB signal, is deteriorating it istead, you know you have a product delivering according the marketing. This one does. At a price that is infact ridiculous compared to other things purchased in the past. By it, buy a ROON license and start lastening to the music as is, instead of your gear. Highly recommended.

Ce lecteur remplace un RaspDIGI AUDIOPHONIC connecté comme lui à une interface GUSTARD U12 XMOSI2S/SPDIF/AES EBU 32bit 384Khz. La comparaison ne porte que sur les SBC et la carte USB pour le ALLO. La différence s'entend, plus de dynamique et de relief avec le USBRIDGE. Pour l'OS, j'ai remplacé DIET PI par VOLUMIO sur carte micro SD plus facile à mettre en oeuvre pour connecter un NAS ou disque USB. A priori DIET PI, dans sa version native, n'exploite que les fichiers musicaux du répertoire de la carte eMMC soit au mieux 16 GB de stockage. Il faut sans doute entrer des lignes de commandes dans DIET PI pour identifier les stockages externes, mais le site Diet Pi .com ne dit pas grand chose sur le sujet. Cinq étoiles quand même pour la qualité audio.

I'm overall very happy with my purchase. I have managed to get all up and running, in short few days. I am running roon core on my desktop computer to roon bridge on USBridge. Allo GUI is very easy and useful. However I'm not able to play DSD files yet, since my DAC/Xmos is not supported with ALSA yet, but I believe I'll make it work in the end. PCM works flawlessly and sounds great! Alu box keeps system running on about 50C.
