Musician offers with the Pisces II a high quality digital interface, capable of providing a clean and stable transmission of the audio signal. It offers a complete range of outputs to suit most audio systems and needs. In addition, the Pisces supports high definition audio streams for the most accurate and transparent sound reproduction possible.
Musician Pisces II: Proprietary USB interface
The USB-B input of the Pisces II is associated with a proprietary high-end USB interface based on a proprietary STM32F446 MCU. It supports high resolution audio streams, allowing the playback of PCM files up to 24bit 768kHz and DSD512.
Musician Pisces II: Data processing by FPGA
The Musician Pisces II conceals in its heart a powerful Altera Max II FPGA. This one is in charge of decoding the digital data and allows to reduce the signal path while limiting the sound coloration.
Musician Pisces II: Digital Isolation
The digital signal of the Pisces II is totally isolated using a high speed 50Mbps optical coupler. This technology allows to considerably reduce the noise level and to reach an excellent signal to noise ratio.
Musician Pisces II: TCXO clocks
The Musician Pisces II clock system uses two TCXO (Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator) oscillators for very low jitter. The TCXO system automatically adjusts the external capacitance coupling matrix by measuring temperature, in order to provide a more accurate and stable frequency.
Musician Pisces II: Optimized power supply
The power supply stage of the Musician Pisces II benefits from the same care given to the audio circuits, in order to provide them with a clean and stable electrical signal. It includes an O-Type transformer made of high quality single crystal copper wire.
Musician Pisces II: Full output connectivity
The Musician Pisces II offers a complete connectivity, especially for its outputs, and will adapt to most needs. The device offers USB-B as input as well as two inputs for external clocks. For the outputs, the Pisces offers AES/EBU, I2S via HDMI and RJ45 as well as Toslink optical and coaxial.
