Digital Interface I2S USB SPDIF 24bit 768kHz DSD512
Musician offers with the Leo a high-end digital interface, a real concentrate of technology aimed at providing an extremely clean and stable transmission of the audio signal. Practical, it has a complete range of connectors that will meet most needs, to adapt to the vast majority of audio systems. Moreover, it supports high definition audio streams, for the most accurate and transparent sound reproduction possible.
Proprietary USB interface
The USB-B input of the Leo is associated with a proprietary high-end USB interface based on a proprietary STM32F446 chip. This supports high-resolution audio streams, allowing the playback of PCM files up to 24bit 768kHz and DSD512.
Data processing by FPGA
The Musician Leo conceals a high-performance FPGA at its heart. This one is in charge of decoding the digital data and allows to reduce the signal path while limiting the sound coloration.
Digital Isolation
The Leo's digital signal is fully isolated using a high-speed 50Mbps optical coupler. This technology allows to reduce the noise level considerably and to reach an excellent signal-to-noise ratio.
OCXO AT Cut crystal oscillator
The Musician Leo's clock system uses two AT Cut OCXO (Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator) oscillators at constant temperature, offering extremely low noise. This type of oscillator offers the best stability and frequency accuracy, especially with the help of an internal temperature control circuit.
Optimized power supply
The power supply stage of the Musician Leo benefits from the same care given to the audio circuits, in order to provide them with a clean and stable electrical signal. It includes an O-Type transformer made of high quality single crystal copper wire.
A complete connectivity
The Musician Leo offers a complete set of connectors that can be adapted to most needs. Thus, the device offers USB-B, AES/EBU, coaxial, optical Toslink and two inputs for external clock. For the outputs, the Phoenix provides AES/EBU, I2S via HDMI and RJ45 as well as Toslink optical and coaxial.
