Proving that versatility can also mean performance, the Original Audio OPA-Q2.1 combines the functions of integrated amplifier, headphone amplifier and DAC in one neatly designed unit.
The digital to analog conversion stage of the OPA-Q2.1 uses a highly efficient AKM AK4490 DAC chip, offering excellent performance for precise and detailed sound reproduction. This DAC is associated with a USB XMOS interface, allowing to enjoy high resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 384kHz and DSD256.
Behind its antenna, the OPA-Q2.1 hides a Bluetooth receiver CSR8675. This will allow you to broadcast your music remotely, directly from a connected smartphone for example. In addition, this chip supports high-definition transmission codecs such as aptX, aptX HD and LDAC, allowing you to achieve excellent wireless sound quality.
All the circuits of the OPA-Q2.1 show a great rigor, as well in the architecture itself as in the selection of the components or the assembly. Thus, we find totally balanced power amplification and headphone amplification circuits ensuring a very low level of distortion. The headphone amplification section is based on the use of discrete components.
Two double discrete AOP also ensure a filtering function allowing to provide a beautiful sound transparency. A specially designed analog audio processing module also reinforces this sound neutrality while providing a certain musicality..
All the components are integrated in a robust CNC machined aluminum enclosure, the transformer being totally isolated from the rest of the circuits in order to drastically limit potential interferences. Moreover, this chassis shows a sober but modern aesthetics which will be able to be integrated in many HiFi systems.
