Real Time Clock RTC / RS232 serial port 3-pin & 9-pin

The RT clock module works with a CR2032 clock powered by batterie DS3231 . It allows your system to remain synchronized with real time even if abrupt interruption of the hardware occurs (power-cut, torn cable).

In addition to avoiding certain software errors and data-loss due to unannounced out-put voltage, this function is especially useful for all independent time measurements of the state of tension Raspberry. It is thus possible to obtain otherwise inaccessible data such as the time elapsed since the last power.

Its form-factor tis mainy destined for coupling with  aRasperry Pi 3B + model while maintaining compatibility 1B + series B and 3B.

Three connectors are available:
- A GPIO connector providing a robust and easy connection to put up with the Raspberry Pi Note that this is a male & female joint connector that does not limit the addition of other extensions..
- A 9-pin serial connector on the port DE-9 classical male. Plus, it enables integration with systems that do not necessarily support the latest USB protocols (search machines, modems & exclusive network interfaces RS232).
- A 3-pin serial connector Phoenix terminal blocks for specific developments, customized integrations where the need for a modular connector is essential ..

With the MAX3232 interface, the module is able to interface between RS232 device and an RPI to drive it through the serial protocol and vice versa.

The module is powered by the Raspberry PI via the GPIO port. If a power module X720 without breaking is combined with the RPI, the X230 card will also benefit from this power supply.

It comes with its bolts and spacers, and may be mounted upon receipt.

A DB9 comes with the X230 module.
