Auralic VEGA G2
DAC Network Drive

Further than the original VEGA
For many the original VEGA was a reference in the universe of CAD. Auralic is pushing the boundaries, and after a continuous research and development process, the VEGA G2 has been redesigned. It incorporates new technologies and advanced features, such as the Lightning Link, true galvanic isolation, passive volume control, a Class-A ORFEO output module, a redesigned anti-EMI chassis, etc. Thus, Auralic offers a brand new DAC and Network Player with exceptional musical qualities that promises to be a true reference.
Lightning Streaming: Open Your Music
Like all Auralic network drives, the many features and connectivity options of the VEGA G2 are enabled by the native integration of Auralic Lightning Streaming technology. It uses your network to create a music streaming environment that can handle the highest resolutions, including the DSD512 and the 32bit / 384kHz PCM. Lightning Streaming technology also provides features like "Gapless" playback, caching, multi-bit-perfect and upsampling.
Double Master Clock 72FS Femto
The VEGA G2 has been designed with two incredibly precise clocks to bring great sound accuracy. A clock allows the sampling of the formats in multiples of 44.1kHz, the second deals with 48kHz files and its multiples. These are the most sophisticated clocks that Auralic has built, running on cycles of 72 femtoseconds. The result is a jitter largely lowered and a sound of a grande clarity. The Master Clock 72FS is as quiet as it is precise, with an extremely low phase noise of -169dBc / Hz and a 100Hz noise shift of only -118dBc / Hz, thanks in particular to its dedicated 3uV low noise power.
Galvanic insulation
The electrical circuits, although physically separated, allow the data to circulate between them. The VEGA G2's digital audio galvanic isolation provides a new level of protection against electromagnetic interference. Auralic designed a high-speed galvanic isolator configured between the primary circuits of the VEGA G2. The D / A converter, Femto Clock and noise-sensitive analog circuitry are isolated from the central processing circuit, eliminating EMI noise and making a significant contribution to providing transparent sound reproduction.
A totally passive volume control
Years of development at Auralic have resulted in this new feature of the VEGA G2: high-performance, low power, totally passive volume control. The fact that most relays need power, whether open or closed, is not only inefficient, since their coils, which are constantly "activated", generate EMI interference and thus noise, which detracts from the sound quality. The eight relaysand coils of the VEGA G2 are totally passive, thus generating no noise ..
ORFEO Class A Output Module
Inspired by the design of the Neve 8078 Analog Console circuit, the VEGA G2 ORFEO Class A output module is capable of operating with all the loads corresponding to the different power amplifiers. ORFEO uses components with excellent linear and thermally balanced characteristics to achieve a distortion of less than 0.001%. In the VEGA G2, ORFEO has been optimized to reduce noise while being able to drive loads of 600 Ohms without increasing distortion.
Chassis Unity
The VEGA G2 is integrated into the brand new Unity chassis. Machined in a single Aluminum plate and designed for the G2 Auralic series. It has been designed to reduce EMI interference and allow superior absorption and damping.
