This powerful Dayton Audio BST300EX speaker driver is an exciter bass shaker, meaning that it lets you feel low frequencies not perceptible by the human ear. Indeed, the human ear has the ability to hear a wide range of sounds, however, some sounds are simply too low to be heard and must be felt by the body. Feeling these extremely low-frequency sounds adds a new dimension to your listening, gaming and cinema experiences.
Big brother to the BST-1, the BST-300EX offers 300W of power with its Ø18cm diameter. Inside is a magnetic puck is suspended between 2 durable nylon spiders, all enclosed within a former wrapped with a powerful voicecoil. The BST-300-EX converts electrical signals into tangible waves of sound power that can be dispersed over any surface. This eliminates the need for an oversized subwoofer to create an immersive, physical sound experience.
The BST-300EX features 4 mounting holes for easy installation on any flat surface. This will enable you to quickly enjoy this audio engineering masterpiece. You can also decide to mount up to two BST-300EXs in series, which will increase the impedance of the configuration to 8 Ohms, or in parallel, which will lower the impedance of the installation to 2 Ohms. Mounting 4 speakers in series-parallel will keep the impedance of your installation at 4 Ohms. For your installation, it is recommended to use 12-14AWG speaker cables.
