MINIDSP KD-1 Smart Remote Control Rotary Knob Bluetooth / WiFi

The miniDSP KD-1 smart remote control takes the form of a rotary knob. More intuitive than the classic infrared remote control, even though the main control remains volume management, most of the settings accessible with the infrared remote control can be controlled from the KD-1 (mute functions, source selection, and preset selection). One of the major differences is that it only controls one device at a time, which can be advantageous for users with multiple MiniDSP products. Although it is wired for power, communication with the controlled devices is via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Currently, the KD-1 remote control supports control of the following devices:

• BLE-compatible Flex (2-input, 4-output version) and Flex Eight devices (with or without Dirac Live)
• MiniDSP SHD series processors via WiFi (with the SHD series, the KD-1 provides multimedia information from sources broadcast by Volumio)
