This LCD screen is capable of displaying 24 characters on 2 lines. It uses a SPLC780C controller (compatible with the industry standard HD44780), a 4/8bit 6800 parallel interface and a high-contrast white LED backlight. This can easily be dimmed by a resistor or PWM. The display supports English and Japanese character sets.

The display can be controlled by MCUs such as 8051, PIC, AVR, Arduino, ARM and Raspberry Pi.
