The Hypex FusionAMP FA123 plate amplifier can be used to design a two- or three-way active speaker. It is based on two NCore modules capable of developing 2x125W RMS which can also be bridged to form a 1x250W amplifier. There is also a third NCore amplifier delivering 1x100W RMS for a tweeter.

It is based on two NCore modules capable of developing 2x125W RMS which can also be bridged to form a 1x250W amplifier. There is also a third NCore amplifier delivering 1x100W RMS for a tweeter. This high power allows it to accompany speakers that need a large energy reserve to reveal their potential.
Connectivity & other features
On the connector side, the FA123 offers a balanced analog input and output in XLR 3-pin format and an unbalanced RCA Stereo output. The XLR output is directly connected to the XLR input and therefore allows you to create a chain with several FusionAMPs, the maximum number of modules being limited by the capabilities of your source. Similarly, the amplifier has an AES input and output, the output also being directly connected to the AES input. In addition, there is a SPDIF Coaxial input/output and a Toslink Optical input.
This FusionAMP FA123 integrates a DSP. A USB connector allows you to configure your amplifier via the software specially developed by Hypex. The latter offers many possibilities to adapt your amplifier to your needs, such as creating custom filters.
The front of the amplifier displays a series of 4 status LEDs. The first one is used to warn of a malfunction or when a limit is reached, in order not to damage the equipment.
Fixed green : Amplifier power on
Blinking green : IR signal received
Red / green blinking : Clipping signal
Slow green blinking : Mute mode (output not working)
Fixed red : DC Error/ Fatal error, amplifier shutdown
Red blinking one time per second : High temperature, limited output
Red blinking two times per second : Over temperature, output not working
The next 3 LEDs, green, simply display the selected custom profile and therefore in use. To change the profile, simply press the Select button. If the amplifier is in mute mode, then the LED of the selected profile will flash slowly.
Balanced analog input / output
Single-ended analog output
Mini-USB connector for configuration
AES input / output
SPDIF Coaxial input / output
Optical Toslink output
Note: In order to protect your speakers, the DSP does not have a filter pre-configured by the manufacturer. A filter must therefore be configured and injected using Hypex Filter Design (HFD) software for the FusionAMP to provide an output signal.
