The WiiM Pro+ is a compact, extremely versatile and high-performance audiophile streamer that transforms a conventional audio system into a connected system. It opens the door to music streaming via WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1, and is compatible with numerous transmission modes such as DLNA/UPnP, AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Alexa Music Cast, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. Several units can also be used in combination to set up a true multi-room system, with full remote control via the WiiM App mobile application or a voice assistant such as Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri.

The WiiM Pro+ is an improved version of the WiiM Pro, incorporating a better DAC and ADC as well as more efficient OPAs. Its performance, particularly with regard to its line input and output, has been revised upwards, with improved SNR and THD+N for even more accurate and transparent sound reproduction. The main improvements to the WiiM Pro+ are :

  • A better ADC for line input: WiiM Pro+ uses a TI Burr-Brown PCM1861 ADC, supporting 32bit 192kHz PCM streams at output, with an SNR of 110dB.
  • Ultra-low-noise clock, power supply and circuitry: The WiiM Pro+ features an ultra-low-noise clock and power supply and a PCB design optimised to achieve a THD+N of less than -110dB for the analogue output.
  • AKM DAC and TI OPAs for improved line output quality: A new-generation AKM AK4493SEQ DAC is now used to achieve a very low level of distortion and a wide dynamic range thanks to AKM Velvet Sound technology. This chip supports PCM streams up to 768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 while achieving an SNR of 120dB (A-wt) and a THD+N of -110dB.
  • Remote control: A voice remote control is now included, allowing you to control the WiiM Pro+ from the comfort of your sofa, without having to take out your phone.

What is Bit-Perfect?

Bit-perfect is a term commonly used in audio. It is used to describe a player that can play a file without making any changes of any kind.

For example, if your player plays a 24bit/192kHz Hi-Res file on Qobuz, the digital output will propose 24bit/192kHz. Just like if the music file played is a 16Bit/44.1kHz, the digital output will propose 16Bit/44.1kHz, without any modification. A real 1:1 ratio (Input / Output).

This is what we call a real Bit-Perfect reading, as close as possible to the musical reality of the piece played.

Finally, WiiM also provides an application to easily control your multiroom installation from your smartphone.

Wiim Pro + : Works with your voice assistant

The WiiM Pro+ is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Assistant. This means you can easily control your network player via your voice assistant. Voice control can be done from your smartphone or from a HomePod, Amazon Echo or Google Home device (not included).

The perfect digital extension to my audio set
This little box has it all. Lots of streaming possibilities, great sound, at this moment still active updates, a good app (although I would like more than 12 favourites), a simple but good remote, and more. What's not to like? And all that for a pretty good price.

The whole process from buying to receiving the parcel was also very good and fast, even international shipping didn't take more than a few days. A great experience!

Très bon rapport qualité/prix
La finition et les câbles fournis sont de bonne facture.
Toutes les fonctions de steaming sont présente.
L'app sur téléphone mobile est bien faite.
Le DAC est même très bon sur du FLAC en qualité CD. La sortie RCA donne un très bon résultat, indifférentiable de la sortie SPDIF sur le DAC de mes enceintes actives.
Seul bemol : la Wiim, le téléphone mobile et le NAS doivent se trouver sur le même segment de réseau si l'on veut que tout se configure vite et bien. Par exemple, si vous avez un point wifi en mode routeur, et les appareils non-nomades en filaire, il vous faudra reconfigurer le point wifi en bridge, comme ce fut le cas pour moi. Il n'y a en effet pas moyen de renseigner d'adresse IP fixe via l'app...
Résultat très positif pour le prix.

J’ai acheté le Wiim pro+ pour Streamer Qobuz en hires et le résultat est satisfaisant.je passe par un dac externe oppo ha1que je possède depuis quelques années et le résultat est super avec les fichiers en hires. Pour un prix raisonnable, mon système hifi est remis au goût du jour.
Le Streamer a l’air de qualité, fonctionne très bien et le service Audiophonic est super a recommander sans hésiter

Je suis passé du Wiim Pro au Pro+ pour profiter de son nouveau Dac et des améliorations des sorties et entrées numériques.
Pour être honnête,pas de différence vraiment audible en hires,c'est toujours excellent,ou c'est meilleur ,c'est pour l'écoute de la tv branchée en analogique,le grave est meilleur et les voix sembles avoir un meilleur grain...
Je n'avait pas de télécommande,maintenant oui et c'est trés pratique,elle est bluethooth,donc pas besoin de viser le lecteur.

I'am happy!
Hésitant entre 2 lecteurs réseau, j'ai soumis le dilemme au très disponible David Aubert d'Audiophonics . Que ferait il , lui, en tant qu'acteur? La réponse ne m'a pas laissé sans surprise! Aucun des deux. Et c'est LE moment où il me propose un lecteur qui ne payent pas de mine par son apparence mais qui fonctionne admirablement bien, avec des caractéristiques étonnantes . Voyez la description.
L'utilisation que je voulais en faire était toute simple: balancer sur mon ampli à tube Yaquin MS30, totalement revisité ( cap Mundorf suprême et autres petites bidouilles à ne pas faire rougir en face d'un Mc Intosh), ampli relié à - au choix- des enceintes DIY Dynaudio ( doubles parois sablées) ou des enceintes Tannoy mini autographe, toute la musique que j'aime à partir de Spotify.
Que dire?
C'est adictif !

Mansion spéciale pour David Aubert qui ne s'est jamais fatigué de répondre à mes nombreuses questions ( et à ne pas m'orienter nécessairement vers un appareil 3 ou 4 fois plus cher!).
Merci à lui pour l'excellent service/ conseil.
PS: j'attends avec impatience que le staff Spotify accomplisse sa promesse de 2021: proposer le Hi-res ...
Je soupçonne que si cela prend tant de temps, c'est qu'il nous prépare un coup d'éclat . J'ignore encore quoi...
