The PCB supports Airplay, DLNA, Spotify Connect, Qplay, UPnP. It directly supports the decoding of files up to 192kHz - 24bit and can play files from a local network, a platform for Internet streaming, a physical media (USB key) or even a physical media connected to a remote device (PC, smartphone ...).

Full Digital Amplifier

The amplification stage is built around a STA 326 STMicroelectronics chip. It is a Full Digital Amplifier (FDA), a popular approach to its power / dimensions ratio.

The FDA technology requiring no conversion, amplification only needs a digital input stream. This allows the module to perform alone the essential functions of a complete audio system: receiving the audio stream, decoding the stream (if it is not already I2S), volume control and power amplification.

With this integration, the amplification module is can drive loads from 4 to 16Ω. It can deliver power over a 2x50W uner 4Ω load with a THD 1% and a linear response over the 20Hz-20kHz band.

Connectivity

The UP2STREAM amplifier module includes a Linkplay A31 Unit. It connectivity has been specially developed for audio use with native DLNA & Multiroom support.

This Wi-Fi connection and offers a feature-type network drive to which you can stream the audio data from a smartphone / tablet app.

Broadband connectivity (802.11b / g / n with a bandwidth of 300Mbps) authorizes the transfer of dematerialized audio streams up to 192kHz / 24-bit.

Finally, this feature is not exclusive to a single device, since this unit is multiroom ready. That is to multiples modules of this type can work together, each connected to its pair of passive speakers and being collectively or individually controlled from a single connected device.

Once mounted in the housing, this module can easily join an existing installation thanks to two line-inputs. Those are available through a stereo RCA connector and connector 2.54 XH connector type.

Similarly, a LAN connector (RJ45) adds another layer of security and stability and will be greatly appreciated if any of the WiFi issuer, repeater would fail. It is also useful or for very extensive multiroom systems with remote units.

Many services available

The UP2STREAM modules have their own app called 4STREAM (Android & IOS). The latter is used to group the essential control functions (volume, EQ), reading (track selection, play./pause, connection to an online streaming service) and even live stream (direct sending a audio file from the onboard memory of the phone / tablet).

Many services are supported starting with AirPlay, DLNA, Spotify Connect, UPNP, internet radio and stereo pairing (sending each channel on a dedicated amplifier module then sync). There is also an advanced version of the latter function with Line-In to All Speakers, which allows each module to share and synchronize the input signal with all the multiroom network.

Finally, the device can natively connect to many audio resources :  Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, QQ Music, Napster ...
