A YUV cable, also called "color differentiation cable", is composed of three asymmetrical 75 Ohm single conductors.
heis mainly used for video link
(eg "progressiv scan" projectors) and for the connection of DVD players.
The signals of the YUV standard must be memorized, and it is obvious that they must not be erroneous or transformed before being transmitted to the receiver devices.
Thestandard YUV can also be used for the retransmission of "progressiv PAL / NTSC" signals.
PoFor HDTV transmission, we recommend the use of the VECTOR cable specially designed for this purpose.
For the perfect maintenance of the image signals, it is advisable not to exceed a retransmission length of more than 20 m.
If this distance is to be exceeded, we recommend the use of the TRANSIT 3 meter cable, which can be used up to a distance of more than 50 m.
We offer YUV cables in two different versions:
Thea first version based on the round cable and very flexible MEDIALINE, equipped with golden Cinch connectors HICON HI-CM06, with insulation in Delrin; The other variant consists of the ALTERA SPLIT flat cable and the HICON HI-CM01C Cinch connectors, equipped with gold-plated crimp plugs, with Teflon insulation and anti-crease sleeve.
This second variant is very well suited to YUV applications, because compared to a welded connection, a crimp connection always has a low resistance value: The junction between cable and plug is virtually free of loss. The cable ALTERA SPLIT is delivered in a presentation box in the form of a film bobbinot!
