DAC Headphone Amplifier ES9023 CS8416 24bit 192kHz
The FX-Audio DAC-X3PRO is a particularly compact and affordable DAC and headphone amplifier combo. However, it offers good audio performance, using an ESS ES9023 DAC chip for its digital/analog conversion stage. The reception of digital SPDIF signals is entrusted to a CS8416 receiver. The combination of these components allows a clean and accurate reproduction.
The DAC-X3PRO has USB-B as its input, supporting files up to 24bit 96kHz PCM, as well as Optical and Coaxial, accepting sample rates up to 24bit 192kHz PCM. The output is on a stereo RCA and an amplified 3.5mm jack headphone output. A volume control allows to adjust the sound level of the latter. All the components are integrated in a sturdy brushed aluminium case.
Both outputs operate at the same time. The volume knob only controls the level of the 3.5mm headphone output.

Excellent rapport qualité prix
Après branchement des sources, streameur en optique et ordi en USB (problème de pilote en cours), et liaison RCA sur ampli, net amélioration du rendu des écoutes sur streameur. Son propre, détaillé, sans fioritures. Peut-être un petit manque de flamboyance, mais à ce prix on l'excuse largement ! Sortie casque impeccable également. Pour la lecture via USB, j'attends de résoudre le souci du driver, qui vient de mon ordi et non du Dac. Satisfait des performances et de sa praticité.

J'utilise l'ampli dac sur la sortie optique de la TV. Ça améliore bien le son de mon casque par rapport à la sortie jack et il n'y a plus de bruit parasite.
Attention en revanche a ne pas trop pousser le son, suivant le casque utilisé ça peut l'endommager.
Merci au sav très efficace qui m'a envoyé une alimentation toute neuve pour remplacer celle d'origine qui avait un dysfonctionnement et qui est à première vue de très mauvaise qualité.
