Shanling M8
Digital Audio Player DAP 2x AK4499EQ XMOS Bluetooth 5.0 WiFi 32bit 768kHz DSD512
Resolutely high-end, the Shanling M8 portable music player benefits from an exceptional design thanks to the use of high-performance high-end components. In particular, it uses a pair of AKM AK4499EQ DACs, an XMOS XUF208 USB interface and a Qualcomm CSR8675 Bluetooth receiver.
AGLO Technology
The M8 uses Shanling AGLO technology, for Android Global Lossless Output. This technology allows you to enjoy an Android OS, without having to pay for the inherent system processing that could degrade the sound quality.
Interchangeable headphone output
The main originality of this M8 is its system of interchangeable jack connectors. This one allows you to take advantage of all common balanced and unbalanced jack connections, without using an external adapter.
AKM AK4499EQ Dual DAC
The analog circuitry of the M8 uses two high-performance AKM AK4499EQ DAC chips with integrated I/V conversion stage and balanced amplifier. This architecture provides rich and accurate sound reproduction.
XMOS XUF208 USB Interface
The USB connector is associated with a latest-generation XMOS XUF208 interface, supporting high-resolution files up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512 Native.
Bluetooth 5.0
Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, the Shanling M8 is equipped with a Qualcomm CSR8675 receiver chip. It supports LDAC, LHDC and aptX HD codecs for high-quality sound reproduction in Bluetooth.
Powered by Snapdragon
Particularly powerful and fast, the M8 is powered by a Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core processor and 4GB of RAM. This combination ensures smooth operation. A 64GB storage space is also integrated, expandable with a Micro SD card (not included).
OP+BUF V2.0 Architecture
The Shanling M8 takes advantage of the Shanling OP+BUF amplification architecture in an even more improved and optimized version. This version provides more power, better measurements and superior sound quality.
I/V conversion stage
In order to take advantage of the full potential of the DAC AK4499EQ chips, Shanling's engineers worked particularly hard on the I/V conversion stage. Each element of the circuit is thus optimized and precisely adjusted to offer exceptional sound quality.
- High-speed voltage amplifiers ADA4896-2 for low noise thanks to SiGE bipolar processing.
- High precision film resistances (0.01%) and high stability.
- Panasonic tantalum/polymer capacitors, less sensitive to temperature variations for high durability.
- CPAF low-pass filtering technology with constant phase over all frequencies.
- Ultra Low Distortion TI OPA1662 and specific circuitry for better crosstalk performance.
- High-speed buffer TI BUF634A for increased output current.
- Dual KDS clocks and 3rd generation FPGA for fast and accurate decoding of audio streams.
High power, low noise
With three gain settings, the M8 can accommodate a wide range of headphones, from high-sensitivity earphones to extremely demanding headphones.
Body machined from a single block of Aluminum.
The magnificent M8 chassis is CNC machined with extreme precision from a single block of aluminum. This allows for a particularly solid construction, while providing additional shielding.
Graphite cooling system
The M8 uses a graphite cooling system to efficiently dissipate heat from the DAP components to the aluminum chassis.
Long battery life & Quick Charge 3.0
With a large 7000mAh battery, the Shanling M8 offers a long autonomy, up to 14 hours in continuous playback. The Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 system allows it to quickly recharge the DAP.
5" Full HD Touch Screen
The front of the M8 features a stunning 5" Full HD touch screen. This allows intuitive navigation through the device's menus for a smooth user experience.
WiFi 2.4G / 5G
Enjoy high transfer speeds and smooth streaming with 5G WiFi support and MU-MIMO technology. The M8 also supports file transfer via WiFi, SyncLink remote control, DLNA, AirPlay, and OTA updates.
Digital Filters & Equalizer
The M8 offers 6 digital filters, allowing you to adjust the DAP sound signature to suit your listening experience without loss of quality. The unit also provides an equalizer to make more precise adjustments.
Prime Mode
The M8's Prime Mode allows for distraction-free operation, turning it into a pure audio player. No more notifications to disturb you while you listen.
