Find here a selection of useful and/or essential accessories for this product. These are specially selected by the Audiophonics team according to the characteristics of the product.

The Audiophonics PSU S4-HP power supply module has been designed to provide a clean DC voltage supply to an amplifier or other audio circuit. Its particularly rigorous design, and the quality of its components, make it an excellent choice for powering a digital amplifier or any other low-voltage high-fidelity component such as certain DAC converters, headphone amplifiers, etc... These are just some of the devices whose performance it helps to improve.
This version is equipped with a 6.5mm-thick pre-drilled aluminum plate to optimize dissipation and therefore power supply capacities. The holes allow you to easily integrate this module into the case of your choice.
It is fitted with a potentiometer and a jumper to adjust the voltage from 5 to 24V from an AC voltage source with a value between 5 and 20V AC respectively.
The Audiophonics PSU S4 uses four Schottky SB2045FCT rectifiers in TO-220 heatsink housings, offering low losses. The voltage regulator is a Micrel MIC29752BWT, an extremely high-performance component thanks to its extremely low dropout (270mV@4A / 425mV@7.5A).
On the filtering side, the module boasts impressive capacity, with 10 electrolytic capacitors of 8100µF / 35V for a total of 81000µF to limit ripple, and therefore the necessary dropout. A 220µF OsCon Low ESR capacitor stabilizes the output.
This design not only provides a highly stable output, but also delivers high currents with low heat dissipation and good linear efficiency. For example, to supply 12V DC 7.5A, an 11.5V AC toroid is sufficient (general dropout only 4.2V). That's around 31W of dissipation for 90W of output.
