The Tanchjim Space Pro is a DAC with a built-in headphone amplifier based on a dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC architecture, designed to handle the conversion and playback of high-resolution audio streams. It supports PCM signals up to 32bit 768kHz as well as DSD256, whilst utilising a dual-mono topology that isolates the channels to improve separation and stabilise reproduction across the entire spectrum.
It combines amplification delivering up to 618mW into a 26Ω load with software-controlled operating modes and signal processing, allowing the behaviour of the conversion/amplification system to be adapted to suit the listening conditions.
The Tanchjim Space Pro utilises a dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC architecture, handling PCM streams up to 32bit 768kHz and DSD256, whilst employing a dual-mono topology that isolates the left and right channels. This structural separation limits crosstalk, thereby preserving the precision of the soundstage and the clarity of micro-details.

This conversion stage is followed by an amplification stage based on two SGM8262 operational amplifiers, delivering up to 618mW into 26Ω and 505mW into 32Ω, which provides a power supply capable of driving headphones with varying impedances whilst maintaining stable signal control.

Beyond sheer power, the amplifier’s performance can be customised via the Tanchjim app, which allows you to switch between Class AB and Class H modes to adapt the circuit’s response to the listening environment. This approach is extended by the inclusion of 5.1/7.1 surround sound simulation, broadening the spatialisation for multimedia use, whilst the 10-band equaliser, combined with the ability to import and export presets, allows for adjustment of the sound signature.

In line with this, the Space Pro features both a 3.5mm jack single-ended output and a 4.4mm jack balanced output; the latter utilises differential transmission, which improves channel separation and signal stability on compatible headphones. The inclusion of the CTIA microphone standard allows for the use of headphones with a microphone.
The audio connection uses a supplied silver-plated copper cable, whose optimised conductivity minimises signal loss and distortion during transmission. This design ensures that the integrity of the audio data is maintained between the source and the DAC, resulting in a more stable playback experience when used on the move.
