L-R balance controls have just about disappeared from today's audio products. Sometimes they are tugged away somewhere deep in the menu structure. I would like to see them on every preamp with the option to bypass them. But in the case of a preamp like the Topping's PRE90 they typically are non-existent. This passive volume attenuator by Lynepaudio adds L-R balance functionality to an audio set-up. It is not ideal to add a step to your audio chain, but I have noticed no degradation to the sound quality in my configuration. I subtracted a star from the rating as there is no description of the device supplied by Lynepaudio. Neither is there a set-up guide or manual.
