AKM AK4493S DAC
The digital / analog conversion stage of the SMSL is based on the use of a AKM AK4493S DAC chip. This model ensures excellent performances with notably a THD+N reaching here 0.00013% for a restitution at the same time precise, rich and dynamic.
XMOS XU316 USB Interface
The use of a USB XMOS XU316 interface allows the C100 to read high resolution files for the most faithful sound reproduction possible. It supports audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512 via its USB-B input.
CK-03 Clock Circuit & Filtered Power Supply
Like the vast majority of SMSL devices of this generation, the C100 embeds the proprietary CK-03 clock circuit, allowing excellent synchronization of the clock signals for the lowest possible jitter. On the other hand, the power supply circuit benefits from an efficient filtering system, allowing to provide a clean and stable power supply to all the audio circuits from a single USB-B port.
MQA Decoder
In addition to supporting high resolution PCM and DSD streams, the SMSL C100 is able to decode MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files. These files allow to enjoy a very high sound quality, as close as possible to the original signal captured in a recording studio.
