Like its big brother the Boss DAC, this Allo MiniBoss Player Plus is a high-resolution digital-to-analog (DAC) converter based on the MonoBoss DAC module equipped with a PCM5122 chip and a Raspberry Pi Zero. These modules ensure an astonishing compactness for high performance. Operating in master mode, it integrates two 45MHz and 49MHz clocks. Ever more versatile, the system includes a Volt+ AMP amplifier module and a volume attenuator, all housed in a transparent Acrylic case.

Volt+ AMP

The amplification stage of the MiniBoss Player Plus is provided by an Allo Volt+ Amp module. This one embeds a TPA3118 Class D chip allowing to deliver up to 2x50W (max) and can therefore be associated with many speakers. The components used for its design are specifically developed for use on high-end audio modules. Its architecture allows it to limit noise for a beautifully transparent and rich reproduction.

Volumio, a powerful and intuitive audio player

The Allo MiniBoss Player Plus uses the Volumio operating system. It is an Open Source operating system designed to play audio files with quality playback. It works on many devices and is particularly suitable for SBC (Single Board Computer) such as the Raspberry Pi Zero of this MiniBoss Player Plus.

Combined with the complete system, it becomes a real media player, remotely controllable via smartphone / tablet or a computer thanks to its dedicated web application. Once connected to your network, this OS will allow you to stream your music in DLNA/AirPlay from any connected device.

Housing & Volume Attenuator

All the modules of the Allo MiniBoss Player Plus are integrated in a transparent acrylic case, revealing the components. The housing is perforated to facilitate heat dissipation and ensure a long life for your equipment.

The system is combined with a 24-step attenuator for effective volume control. This allows you to adjust the noise level while limiting the noise generated.
