The Neutrik NC3FXX-EMC is a male XLR connector that offers enhanced RF shielding for critical applications in live performance and recording, where radio transmissions or mobile phones, for example, can cause particular problems. The design ensures a continuous RF shield connection between the cable and the chassis connector housing via a circular capacitor around the cable shield. The circular capacitors act as a high-pass filter with a cutoff frequency of approximately 10 MHz.
A 24-ohm EMI suppression ferrite bead at 1 MHz between pin 1 and the cable shield provides a low-pass filter for better RF rejection.
