This STA508 amplifier incorporates high quality components to allow your audio system to deliver its full potential. This Class D module delivers 2x80W power to provide your equipment with the necessary power and 90% high efficiency. In addition, the amplifier module incorporates numerous protections against short circuits, excessive heat, overloads and overvoltage to prevent possible damage that could affect the equipment.

ST ELECTRONICS STA508

The module integrates a ST Electronics STA508 chip - superior to the TA2024 and TA2020 chips - capable of delivering 2x80W with a THD of 10% at Vcc 35V for an impedance of 8 Ohms or 1x160W with an identical THD for an impedance of 4 Ohms.

Tripath TC2001

The module uses a Tripath TC2001 Class T chip (Class D equivalent) using proprietary Digital Power Processing (DPP) technology as a chopper, before routing the signal to the STA508. The TC2001 gives you both the audio quality of a high fidelity Class AB while enjoying the performance of a Class D.

Components of choice

The module includes 6 Nichicon electrolytic capacitors 330µF 35V to ensure a constant power supply and high precision resistors for a very good signal-to-noise ratio.
