The Audiophonics HC is a Home-Theater trigger whose first benefit is to save you the trouble of changing cable connections between your Hi-Fi system and your home-cinema system. The trigger function also triggers the power supply to your home-theater system. It features an RCA priority input for your Hi-Fi system, an RCA stereo input for your home-theater system and an RCA stereo output for a power amplifier. Two 12V triggers with 3.5mm jack connectors are also included. One trigger switches signal transmission to your home-theater system when you switch on your home-theater amplifier, and the second automatically switches on your power amplifier.
By adding Audiophonics HC to your Hi-Fi system, the Hi-Fi system takes priority. You can use your Hi-Fi system connected to your passive speakers normally without disconnecting or reconnecting any cables if you have used your home-theater system previously. Simply switch off your home-theater system.
If you switch on your home-theater system, it will take over thanks to an internal switch triggered by the link between your home-theater amplifier and the Audiophonics HC via a 3.5mm trigger cable. Your power amplifier connected to your front speakers will also switch on thanks to the second 12V trigger. So you don't need to change the wiring of your "front speakers", whether for use with your Hi-Fi or Home-theater system.
