I have been using €50 shielded RCA cables with my subwoofer for many years. The cables are of the brand Nikabe, and use OFC copper. I was curious to try a higher end cable for my subwoofer, especially since reviewers say it has a clear positive effect on the sound. Having now listened with this cable for a few days I think any owner of a subwoofer worth €1000+ should seriously consider getting these cables. Compared my cheaper RCA cables, these Audiophonics cables have the effect of making the bass faster and cleaner. A lot of bass boom and overhang is gone, and it's instead more transparent and integrates much better with my speakers. I haven't touched the volume control or my calibration, the only thing I changed was the subwoofer cables, and the upgrade in sound quality is significant. Like I said, if you have a fairly serious subwoofer, it's worth getting cables like these, because then you'll hear what your subwoofer is actually capable of. Highly recommended!
