The Audio-GD AS-1 2021 Edition is a balanced DAC based on a duo of ESS ES9038Pro digital/analog converters. It ensures an extremely low level of distortion, very rarely reached by this type of product and especially at such a contained price. The ES9038Pro chips take advantage of HyperStream II 32bit technology offering high audio performance with a dynamic range (DNR) up to 140dB and a THD+N of -122dB.

The two ES9038Pro DACs are also supported by an FPGA. The FPGA takes care of the synchronization of the audio signals and thus of the jitter reduction. This results in a more accurate and transparent sound reproduction, while drastically reducing noise. Three Accusilicon clocks are also integrated, once again allowing the jitter to be reduced to a minimum thanks to optimal signal synchronization.

On the connection side, the AS-1 2021 Edition offers Coaxial SPDIF, Optical, USB-B, a BNC connector and finally I2S HDMI LVDS. On the output side, we find XLR 3 poles, ACSS and RCA Stereo.
