A tailor-made OS

Hifiman, chose for its R2R2000 to design a custom operating system rather than using Android or another software layer. Indeed, Hifiman's OS has only one task to perform at a time, allowing it to largely limit jitter. Another system like Android has to perform several tasks at the same time causing jitter creation and thus decreasing audio quality.

The R2R2000 integrates a truly audiophile circuit with ultra-low distortion analog filters, discrete filtering of the left and right channels of each PDO and a buffer design to ensure high-purity reproduction. Many supported file formats

Hifiman's DAP R2R supports many high-resolution file formats. It includes WAV, FLAC, ALAC, APE and AIFF and those up to 24bit 192kHz (for the first 3). For the most audiophiles, the R2R2000 also allows you to read DFF and DSF files up to DSD64. In addition, as these high-resolution files weigh a lot, the player can accommodate Micro SD cards up to 256GB (not included). Thus, there is no need to choose between quality and quantity.
