SMSL offers with its A2 a high-end Class D amplifier, integrating only audiophile quality components in a robust and design chassis made of CNC machined aluminum. Complete, versatile and powerful, the A2 adapts to all needs and all systems, while offering a rich and precise sound reproduction.
Digital feedback
The SMSL A2 uses an ingenious digital feedback technology. This technology allows a drastic reduction of the distortion level for an incredibly pure sound reproduction.
Bluetooth
Embedding a high quality Qualcomm Bluetooth chip, the A2 supports many Bluetooth codecs. In addition to the classic AAC and SBC codecs, it also supports aptX, aptX-HD, LDAC and UAT, allowing for excellent wireless sound quality.
Equalizers and presets
The SMSL A2 provides different predefined equalization profiles to adapt to your listening and your audio system. For a personalized setting, it also allows to adjust the bass and treble levels.
Amplifier & DSP
The A2 uses a powerful amplifier chip, combined with a state-of-the-art DSP developed with great care, to achieve a very low distortion level of 0.0008%.
XMOS
The USB-B input of the A2 is associated with a second generation XMOS interface, supporting high sampling rates, up to 32bit 768kHz PCM and native DSD512.
PCM1804 ADC
The analog input of the SMSL A2 uses a Texas Instruments PCM1804 ADC chip, with a filtering circuit composed of three OPA1678 low noise AOPs, for a perfectly clear sound reproduction, even in analog.
Optimized power supply
The A2 uses a professional LLC power supply especially suited for power amplifiers. It also features active PFC circuitry and an advanced EMI filter to stabilize the output and reduce interference. Finally, the power supply stage benefits from a complete protection circuit with optimized heat dissipation for a stable and reliable power supply.
