This DC 12V jack filter with supercapacitor allows you to obtain a clean power supply for your Hi-Fi equipment and appliances, thanks to 5 supercapacitors 20F - 3.0V and an intelligent buffer system with common mode suppression effect. It also incorporates a UTC UZ1085L linear voltage regulator, an STC 8H1K08 microcontroller and a ME85P03 MOSFET transistor. Input and output are on DC 5.5/2.1mm jack connectors. LEDs indicate the Jack DC filter loading: 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. It is itself powered by 12V 3A via its DC jack input.
When a power supply is connected to the filter input, the 5 LEDs light up cyclically. No voltage is then delivered at the output. The LEDs then light up in the following order: 10% → 25% → 50% → 75% → 100%, as the supercapacitors are charged. To obtain output voltage, it is necessary to reach a charge level of 100%, then press the ON/OFF button. The LED corresponding to the charge level (100%) of the capacitors will then be the only one permanently lit. If the load never reaches 100% with 5 fixed LEDs, and one LED continues to flash, this indicates that your input power supply is not delivering exactly 12V.
