EarAcoustics Cipher earphones combine a spiral acoustic architecture with a reinforced magnetic circuit and a 10mm ceramic dome dynamic transducer to deliver an extended frequency response with a smooth tone, designed for long listening sessions without ear fatigue.
The Ciphers are built around an internal architecture called ‘Nebula Soundfield Design,’ which takes the form of a spiral waveguide that synchronises the various components of the acoustic signal. This geometry precisely controls the path of sound waves from the transducer to the ear canal, eliminating phase shifts between frequencies that would otherwise generate destructive interference. The soundstage thus gains depth and positional stability, with each instrument retaining its natural location without any perceptible time lag.
At the core of this system, a 10mm dynamic transducer combines a ceramic dome with a polyurethane suspension. The rigidity of the ceramic maintains the linearity of the high frequencies up to the limits of human audibility, while the polyurethane suspension allows for controlled excursions in the low frequencies without mechanical distortion. This combination preserves the integrity of the signal across the entire audible spectrum.
The dual-cavity magnetic circuit system multiplies the magnetic flux applied to the voice coil. This magnetic intensification accelerates the transducer's transient response, enabling accurate reproduction of instrumental attacks and micro-dynamic variations. Separate chambers prevent parasitic resonances that would compromise midrange definition, ensuring that every expressive nuance remains audible even in complex passages.

The advertised wide bandwidth of 5Hz to 30kHz is part of an approach aimed at preserving micro-details while maintaining a solid foundation in the sub-bass range. However, this extension is accompanied by deliberate tonal adjustment, where the 6–8kHz range is contained to avoid saturation on the sensitive harmonics of the human voice, ensuring prolonged listening without auditory fatigue. This approach is reflected in a softened timbre, linear enough for precision but calibrated for comfortable listening.
The 1.5m non-detachable silver-plated copper cable optimises conductivity while limiting resistance, preserving the dynamic consistency generated by the magnetic circuit. The 3.5mm jack termination ensures comprehensive compatibility with portable players, allowing direct use without additional adapters.
