BURSON AUDIO FUNK
Class A/B Integrated Amplifier NE5532 2x45W / 4 Ohm
With the FUNK, Burson Audio unveils a compact but no less powerful class A/B amplifier. Burson's expertise has been used to design this amplifier, which is powered by the brand's proprietary "Max current" technology and delivers power of up to 2x 45W @ 4Ω. The sound that comes out of the FUNK amplifier is powerful, precise and rich in detail.
A 3Wpc class A headphone amplifier
The two headphone outputs (6.35mm jack and 3.5mm jack) on the FUNK's front panel and its power capacity mean you can enjoy a wide range of headphone types. A 16Ω headphone will have an output power of 3.5W and a 300Ω headphone an output power of 150mW. The headphone amplification has a completely separate channel from the speaker channel and operates in Class A with discrete components. The Burson FUNK can, in a way, be considered as an improved Burson FUN.
MCPS" power supply technology
It's Burson's "Max current power supply" technology that allows the FUNK to have such a high power capacity in such a compact design. Thanks to this technology, Burson did not need to integrate a transformer or oversized power capacitors. The "Max current power supply" ensures that the output transistors are supplied with power directly and cleanly.
A high-performance amplifier stage
Burson Audio's FUNK incorporates two dual NE5532 OPAs with very low noise, low distortion and high slew rate.
DIP8 mounted, they are easily replaceable if you wish to integrate Burson Audio's own V6 VIVID or V6 CLASSIC AOPs, for example.
A stylish and useful aluminium enclosure
The Burson Audio FUNK enclosure, with its sober design, will be easy to integrate into your Hi-Fi system. Its design makes it the perfect choice to place on a desk, for example.
In addition, thanks to its casing, which acts as an integral heat dissipator to dissipate heat, that the FUNK can deliver so much power without overheating.
