The MiniDSP UMA-16 v2 is an evolution of the 16-channel MEMS microphone module offered by the manufacturer for the development of beamforming, source localisation and acoustic imaging algorithms. It is based on a uniform rectangular array of 16 Knowles MEMS microphones and a USB interface based on an XMOS processor, which converts the PDM stream to PCM and then transfers it to 16 audio channels via USB. A central hole allows for the optional integration of a USB camera (supplied) for acoustic camera applications.
