Dual DAC CS43131

Based on a pair of Cirrus Logic CS43131 digital-to-analog converters, the iBasso is capable of reading high-resolution files up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256. These chips also incorporate an amplification stage, providing low noise floor and low impedance for natural sound reproduction.

Amplification stage

The DC03 offers an output voltage of 2Vrms at 300Ω and 1.61Vrms at 32Ω. It delivers a power of 80mW at 32Ω, which is more than enough to accompany EMI with ease.

From smartphone to computer: USB UAC2.0 sound card function

The DC03 is equipped with a USB-C connector and uses the USB UAC2.0 reception standard. It is compatible with the vast majority of Android smartphones and tablets on the market. It is also capable of connecting to a computer running Mac OS or Windows using the high quality USB-C to USB-A adapter provided. This allows it to work exactly like a sound card, and in an extremely simple way since the system is Plug & Play.

Volume control per application

Windows 10 and Android 5.0 (or higher) support the UAC2.0 protocol by default. However, for compatibility reasons, Android smartphone manufacturers still use the SRC protocol on the audio output. When the DC03 is connected, the volume is set to maximum by default and the device's software algorithm is used to reduce the volume. While this method does reduce the volume, it does not reduce the noise threshold. So iBasso has developed a volume control application using the UAC2.0 protocol to allow hardware 64 step volume control while reducing the noise threshold and providing much better audio performance.

Rien à redire sur ce petit DAC, vraiment performant.

utilisé sur un Huawei P30 avec un casque Focal Celestee ou Pioneer HDJ 1000 et appli Qobuz, c'est une vraie installation audio haut de gamme embarquée.
Grosse dynamique, réserve de puissance impressionnante, je ne peux pas monter le volume à fond.
Aucun souffle, aucune saturation, le son est d'une clarté réjouissante. Je redécouvre la joie du casque filaire

Excellent!
Très satisfait de cet article. Il est plus petit qu'on ne le pense mais semble très bien fait. Mon téléphone Android l'a reconnu immédiatement et je peux maintenant écouter mes fichiers audio HiRes sans aucun problème.
Je le recommande vivement !

Très bon dac compact et à prix contenu
Utilisé pour contourner la sortie jack défaillante de mon LG G7 qui est doté d'un excellent dac (ES 9018 quad dac avec des mesures excellentes sur audio science review), je ne suis pas déçu! Distortion inaudible, clarté, rondeur, le son tient tout à fait la comparaison avec le dac natif du LG, avec un peu plus de pêche et de fermeté.
Il pousse très bien sur des écouteurs ou des casques faciles (AKG240, ...) ou en sortie ligne, par contre à ne pas utiliser avec un casque plus lourd à driver (pas terrible avec mon Beyerdynamic DT770, qui nécessite pour bien marcher un ampli casque).

Surprenant dans le bon sens du terme. Génial !
Un son puissant, je l'utilise principalement avec un intra Final Audio Heaven IV (16 ohm/116 db) et un casque Fostex TH 610 (25 ohm/98 db) Dans les deux cas le son est excellent. Avec le TH 610 pour une écoute normale le réglage du volume est à peu près à 30% ce qui laisse une réserve de puissance très importante (encore plus importante avec le Final Audio). Dans les deux cas aucun bruit de fond et aucune distortion. Avec des fichier HIRES Qobuz le résultat est bluffant à tel point que je me demande si il y a un intérerêt à utiliser des produits beaucoup plus sofistiqués, encombrant et beaucoup plus chers...
Je suis conquis.
